I have spent over 25 years in the mortgage industry. I have seen the cycles, the market crashes, the booms, and the trends. But throughout all those years, one thing always bothered me about the traditional lending world: it felt cold.

To the real estate industry, a mortgage is a stack of papers. A credit score. A DTI ratio. An appraisal value. A transaction code.

But to the family sitting on the other side of the desk, that “transaction” is everything. It’s the nursery for their first baby. The backyard where they’ll host family gatherings . It’s their financial legacy.

When realtors tell me, “Fiorella, you work harder than anyone I’ve met,” or “you answer calls on weekends,” it’s not because I’m a workaholic. It’s because I know that anxiety doesn’t keep office hours.

If I can close a loan in 8 or 10 days instead of the industry standard of 30, I’m not just saving time. I’m saving a family three weeks of sleepless nights. I’m helping an agent win a bidding war for their client. Speed isn’t just a metric for us; it’s our way of showing we care.
